Prompting

What is this need?
In a psychological effect known as habituation, individuals learn not to respond to repeated occurances of a stimulus. This effect lessens the efficacy of learning tools in our environment, causing them to fade out of our attention. Learners need occasional prompting, i.e. reminder signals, to keep their learning “on track”, or for inspiration. For example, Fresh can send its members birthday wishes that contain drifted references to their (new) age.
